Safety at the heart of our priorities

We take the safety of our employees to heart. We rigorously apply protocols to reduce the risk of accidents. We can proudly say that we have successfully met the challenge we set for ourselves: zero accidents for over 20 years!

We are a reliable and safe company for all types of arboricultural work. By choosing Arboquébec, you are opting for a company using high-quality, state-of-the-art equipment. We constantly update our knowledge regarding the techniques and safe approaches to adopt in all circumstances.

Our employees use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) regulated by the CNESST:

  • A safety helmet with a face shield as needed;
  • Safety boots with chainsaw cut protection;
  • Safety glasses;
  • Appropriate gloves;
  • Hearing protection;
  • Chainsaw protection pants (chaps or trousers);
  • All our employees must wear a harness, with shoulder straps and a dorsal attachment for fall arrest, compliant with CNESST standards, as well as all other accessories for work performed at heights;
  • All our employees performing work at heights hold academic training in the profession of arborist/tree trimmer.

If you wish to learn more about CNESST standards, we invite you to visit their website: CNESST Publication on Arboriculture

There you will find all the details concerning practices, protocols, equipment, and materials to be used in arboriculture. We meticulously respect the practices recommended and required by the CNESST to prevent workplace accidents and reduce the risk of injury.

Example of safety standards not respected during arboricultural work

This photo, in addition to demonstrating bad pruning practices, shows a man working in a tree in an unsafe and non-compliant manner. He is knowingly putting his life at risk by choosing not to wear the necessary equipment for this type of work. He is also wearing climbing spurs, which wound the tree and provide entry points for insects and bacteria.

By opting for Arboquébec, you are choosing professionals who care about the health of your trees as well as their own safety. They use climbing and cutting techniques that prioritize the tree's health while ensuring their own safety as workers. They will always be equipped with the appropriate gear based on the work to be performed.

It is also important to mention the health and safety of other trees located near the work area. Our employees commit to working in a safe and optimal manner to maintain the health of trees and plants near the worksite, in order to preserve the vegetation on your property.
